Legal, privacy and compliance

These pages describe how DKAM handles identity, credential and capability data, what controls are in place today, and what is on the compliance roadmap. They are maintained by the DKAM team and updated as the platform matures.

Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the DKAM platform. Where a separate signed agreement exists with an organisation or institution, that agreement prevails on its specific subject matter.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity carried out under your account.

2. Acceptable use

  • Do not impersonate another person or organisation.
  • Do not submit knowingly false claims, credentials or verifications.
  • Do not attempt to access another user's data without their consent.
  • Do not scrape, mirror or resell DKAM data.

3. Ownership of records

You retain ownership of your Bluck and the personal capability data within it. DKAM operates the platform and supporting infrastructure. Verifiers retain responsibility for the accuracy of the records they issue or confirm.

4. Consent and access

Access by recruiters, organisations, institutions and other parties operates strictly through the consent and access controls described in the Privacy Policy and Verification Policy.

5. Service status

DKAM operates the platform on a continuous basis. Features are added and refined over time; material changes are communicated in-app.

6. Liability

DKAM provides the platform on an as-available basis. Liability terms are set out in the commercial agreement applicable to your engagement.

7. Governing law

Governing law and jurisdiction are set out in the commercial agreement applicable to your engagement. DKAM operates from Cape Town, London and Manchester.
